The world would change.
It would happen because when the thought was systematized this would mean the “plan” or the “program” that will cause the change is ready now. We know that if a plan is available in building a construction, this means that the most important requirement in the process is already met. What is left to do is to find a good a “master”, which is for sure easier than to make a plan.
However, the activities performed by Muslims in contemporary age bears a resemblance to the efforts made by a bad master who tries to build a “perfect” construction by an “imperfective” plan. Further, even if we, as Muslims, find a good master, we are not still be able to build “perfect” buildings. We are even able to make “revolution” but are incapable of being a centre of attraction. We are not be able create a robust ideology. We are not be able to convey the Message of Islam powerfully to the people living outside the world of our own. It is all because of the fact that we could not systematized the thought yet.
If we manage to systematize the thought, the world will change. History provides many example of this. We can not explain otherwise why Marx, the man who manage to systematize the socialist thought, was able to muster up support not only in the Western world but also in Muslim World. If a batil (wrong) ideology could muster up a considerable amount of support from even Muslim world where the people believe that Islam represents the Truth, this can only be explained by the “power of thought” or the strength of ideology. If thought is systematically, self-consistently and competently stated, it could have a similar impact on any people from any culture. We know that a batil (wrong) ideology managed to do this in the past. So why would not “the true religion” manage to do it?
Islam is the true religion, and Qoran is the true word. But this needs to be shown to the general public practically. In order to reach this goal, there must be a community that actually bears wittness to the Message of Islam. Qoran can have an impact on its readers only if it is read properly and understood correctly. As for understanding correctly, we should recognize that it is, first of all, brought about by a scholarly effort. If we manage to canalize the great masses of the people to the process of the systematization of the thought and if our scholarly efforts gain strength in the course of time, some time later we would produce knowledge in a real sense and the thought would be systematized.
In trying to systematize the thought it is also important to take care of keeping the process of criticism going in a healthy way. It is sine qua non of raising the level of knowledge. However, it should be constructive and done by a "critical mass" who are capable of performing the duty of criticism competently. And this is also directly associated with raising the general level of knowledge in society.
